Good People

Written by David Lindsay-Abaire
Directed by Peter Colletto

Playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, the Pulitzer Prize winner for Rabbit Hole and lyricist for Shrek The Musical, has created a sense memory dramedy about two friends from South Boston who date briefly in high school and then grow up and go their separate ways.  He leaves ‘Southie’ and becomes a successful doctor, while she stays in the neighborhood and faces difficult everyday challenges.  What happens when they meet again after 30 years, when she comes to him desperate for work?  This intimate and often humorous look at how luck, class, race and the choices we make ultimately affect our lives was nominated for Best Play of 2011 and is “…thoughtful, moving and richly entertaining”.  USA TODAY
